Why film.

Fine Art Film Wedding Photography is timeless! It never goes out of style or a new fad.. film is the original way photography was created and I am in love with the way it captures the scenery and subjects in such an artistic, raw way. The texture and colors in film photography is something that is incomparable and timelessly beautiful.

Telling the story.

The best way to describe a shoot with me is to give you an example. So Ima gonna tell ya a lil story about Liz & Dominic from New Hampshire. Recently engaged, they planned a trip out to the Tetons to explore the crazy beautiful mountains in the west. Knowing they wanted that scenery in their wedding photos but couldn’t get everyone to travel that direction, they booked me for a almost married session aka technically engagements to get the best of both worlds.

We connected via email before hand talking about locations they liked around the area , what I would recommend, what to expect weather wise and what season it would look like along with outfits to go along with that. We did our research, shopped and were ready to go!

Once the day arrived in Jackson Hole, we learned it was supposed to snow that night we had planned so we just moved it forward as a morning session which was a beautiful idea!! The Tetons were so quiet and enchanting with elk running across the road and the sun rising.

We started our session in front of the mountains to get the full range, then wondered back to the lake for a different backdrop. We then saw a ferry that took people to the other side of the lake! So we decided to hike around the lake and take the ferry back to get a ton of unique photo spots along the way.

We had so much fun picking flowers, wondering down little paths and checking out the unbelievable views! Liz even did a little wardrobe change in the woods.. what a woman. I climbed rocks to get the best angles, Liz got in the later, Dominic protected us with the bear spray.. yes, we saw a REAL BLACK BEAR! But not to worry, the park rangers were on that and kept us a safe distance so we didn’t have to use the spray. When we got to the end, there was this amazing waterfall just to top off the spontaneous journey.

We spent half the day getting great shots while getting confortable with one another and being in front of the camera while swapping stories while taking in all nature has to offer. We created a story within a story and took the time to go explore to get some amazing shots. It was a day of success and a day we won’t forget!

Let’s go on an adventure together!

Here is Liz’s Review:

“Jenny Losee is a truly talented photographer! She traveled hours just for our engagement shoot and then hiked through the woods with us in order to capture the most beautiful photos. She is flexible and she made us feel comfortable the entire time. You can tell she really loves what she does.”
